Meet Rocky

"Rocky was saved from death row from Philly ACCT. He had been in a fight with another dog on the streets, and was pretty beaten up. Dawn saw his picture and shared him with the board, and we knew we had to get him. Plans were put into motion, and a foster with a kennel was set up. Rocky left Philly and headed to Mercersburg to begin his new life.

Rocky is around 8 years old, but don’t let his age fool you. He loves his toys, and is very treat motivated too! He knows basic commands, and is a very gentle gentleman. He is looking to apply for a couch-potato position at his forever home. He’s not good with cats, but loves other dogs and children. He has an incredible bond with his human foster-sister, who’s 6. He would really love to have a little one in his new forever home!

Rocky is pretty low energy, and doesn’t care for walks. He’s laid back, and just wants his very own couch with a soft blanket to sleep on. His hind end is a little clumsy, but getting stronger every day! Toys and squeakers get him very excited, and he’ll jump up to play! He needs the “tuff” toys though, or else they will disappear into shreds quickly!. We can only wonder about his past, but it probably didn’t involve a soft bed. He only has vision in one eye, but that doesn’t slow him down. He is bright, alert, and ready to play!
